The internet has suffered from hacking from a number of criminal individuals bent on spying and stealing data for personal and financial gain. A number of companies have released anti-virus and anti-spyware software programs in an effort to curb lawless hackers. While anything can be hacked if a hacker is determined enough to break the law at others expense, there are programs that are helpful in protecting one’s computers.

Kaspersky Internet Security is the best of all the anti-spyware and anti-virus software I have tried on my computers. I’ve found Kaspersky to be the most comprehensive of all theĀ anti-spyware and anti-virus software I have used on my computers. Kaspersky is very good at finding hard to detect viruses and trojans embedded in one’s computer system. Kaspersky is also moderately priced.

Webroot is a very good anti-spyware and anti-virus product. It does a very good job of locating and removing viruses and trojans in computer systems. Webroot is also moderately priced.

AVG is a free, useful anti-virus and anti-spyware program. It is good at detecting illegally placed trojans and viruses that compromise a computer system. One can also upgrade to AVG’s paid version for additional computer protection and malware removal.

MalwareBytes is a anti-spyware program that does a decent job of locating some malware on computers. It is free and useful in catching some spyware designed to clog up your computer and steal data.

Spybot Search And Destroy is a relatively good software for finding malware and spyware. However, it usually catches the biggest, most flagrant culprits/threats. It sometimes misses other stealth threats that can do damage to computer systems.

McAfee is a decentĀ anti-virus and anti-spyware software, but at times it fails to catch some of the worst culprits that invade computers to steal and or destroy data. This software needs to improve its virus and trojan database/update system that chronicles trojans and viruses in use by hackers with the tools to detect and block or detect and remove them from computer systems.

Norton software, in my experience, does not do a satisfactory job in catching and blocking trojans and viruses that invade computers causing damage and data loss. Once again, this software needs to improve its virus and trojan database/update system that chronicles trojans and viruses in use by hackers, with the tools to detect and block or remove them from computer systems.
